What we are looking for:

Embedded Software Developer – This role develops, modifies and maintains applications that may be customized or standardized. The Embedded Software Developer will work within the development team maintaining and developing applications on a Linux based embedded security appliance. The applications consist of C programs or Bash/Shell scripts and may involve socket and network programming. The applications obtain configuration and push status to our high availability network infrastructure. This position requires experience in working with bring up of new ARM based product and working in a cross build ARM environment.  Strong knowledge and experience with Linux firewall and IDS is a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain Linux applications typically in C on an embedded Internet security appliance
  2. Perform unit testing and work with technical support team in performing alpha testing
  3. Debugging and investigating customer issues reported by the technical support team
  4. Collaborate with the web development team to interface with UI components of the management platform
  5. Working in an agile environment, where compliance with secure software development processes is critical

 

Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field REQUIRED
  2. Good understanding and experience in data networking and TCP/IP protocol suite
  3. Experience in Linux networking and administration
  4. Knowledge of network security protocols such as IPSec and TLS
  5. Knowledge of Linux firewall and IDS technologies
  6. Proficient in C/C++ with emphasis on performance
  7. Proficient in shell and bash scripting
  8. Knowledge of networking and socket programming
  9. Linux programming and system administration experience
  10. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills
  11. Experience in GIT version control system, defect tracking and peer code review
  12. Experience with embedded debugging tools and board bring-up
  13. 3-5 years of embedded software development experience and 1-2 years of embedded Linux development experience
  14. Experience with Yocto and Bitbake is desirable
  15. Understanding of Amazon Web Services is desirable
  16. Good verbal and written communication skills

Job Description

The Network Solutions Analyst is responsible for pre-sales technical engagement with customers, product and technical presentations, and customer network design and implementation.  The Network Solutions Analyst  demonstrates Acumera product and service capabilities and handles prototyping of site installs, labs and field trials.  Primary responsibility is to shorten the time to revenue by accelerating customer acceptance and install rates by documenting customer network and equipment configurations, discovering technical requirements, and removing technical roadblocks.

 

Job Duties

As an integral part of the sales team, the desired candidate will have responsibility for the following:

  • Discover and document customer requirements by working with customers to architect, design, and implement network solutions to meet those requirements
  • Pre-sale and post-sale technical support for customers
  • Assist in the preparation of responses to RFI/ RFPs
  • Make technical sales-oriented presentations to customer’s technical staff and senior management
  • Assist customers in configuring and testing Acumera services and networks in lab and field trials
  • Develop and conduct technical customer training sessions
  • Provide expertise on particular technical issues or specific network architectures and applications
  • Provide input to sales and marketing planning processes
  • Compose, publish, and present technical white-papers
  • Travel requirements: 25-33%

 

Job Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in Technical Sales, C-store IT, Petroleum Brands or Marketer IT, or Retail IT required
  • MBA, Cisco Routing, Switching, and Security certifications such as CCDA, CCNA (Routing, Switching, Security), PCIP, and/or PCI-ISA certification desired
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully designing and/or managing Payment Card Industry Digital Security Standard compliant networks
  • Experience with Network Operations Center support, Point of Sale (POS) systems, Automated Tank Gauges, and/or Loyalty Program hardware highly desired

 

Other skills/requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with multiple audiences and levels with both internal and external organizations are required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • work schedule is often flexible, varying from time to time, and may include weekends, starting early and/or staying late as required
  • active interaction with your manager is required, communicating via telephone prior to your scheduled start time if you are unable to arrive to work on time or if you are going to be absent on a scheduled work day
