Committed to network excellence.

Company

Acumera, Inc. was founded by the pioneers of broadband Internet access for business travelers. Back in 1993, the founders of Acumera first formed the idea for a company that would ease the lives of millions of business travelers, while enhancing operations at airports and hotels. They formed Wayport, the leading supplier of Ethernet connections in hotel rooms, and the leading supplier of for-fee 802.11 "hotspot" wireless access to the public. Every month, hundreds of thousands of times, some weary businessman gets to sleep a little sooner, some hotel operates a little more smoothly, and some traveler makes good use of the increasing time spent in airport lounges.

Acumera was formed with a deep commitment to using the technology of the Internet to bring the same benefits currently enjoyed by hotels and large merchants with sophisticated IT staff to a broad base of merchants: modern networks, enhanced operations, better supply chain visibility, enhanced customer services, and reduced costs.
